The Noble Seal Notary
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a mobile notary?
A mobile notary is a commissioned California Notary Public who travels to your location to perform notarizations. The Noble Seal Notary provides convenient mobile service at homes, businesses, hospitals, care facilities, rehabilitation centers, and other mutually agreed-upon locations throughout Sacramento and the surrounding communities.
How do mobile service fees work?
California notarial fees are established by state law at up to $15 per notarized signature. An additional mobile travel fee applies based on your location within the Sacramento area. All fees are clearly quoted and agreed upon before your appointment begins, once the requested services have been confirmed.
What should I have ready before my appointment?
Please have:
Your unsigned document (unless instructed otherwise)
Valid government-issued identification
All required signers present
Any required witnesses, if applicable
Where can we meet for the notary visit?
As a mobile service, we meet you at your convenience—your home, office, a local coffee shop, library, or hospitals and care facilities throughout the Sacramento area.
Can you help me choose which form to use?
As California Notaries, we are legally prohibited from giving legal advice or selecting forms for you. Please consult an attorney or the document recipient if you are unsure.
Should I sign my documents before you arrive?
No. For a notarization to be valid, all signers must sign the documents in the presence of the Notary. Please wait until your scheduled appointment to sign any required lines.

ID Requirements for Notarization
California law requires all signers to be identified through satisfactory evidence. Please ensure you have one of the following current (or issued within the last 5 years) forms of identification ready for your appointment:
California Driver License or ID Card
U.S. Passport (Book or Card)
Foreign Passport stamped by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)
Driver License or ID Card issued by another U.S. State
Canada or Mexico Driver License issued by an appropriate public agency
U.S. Military Identification Card
Employee Identification Card issued by an agency or office of the State of California
If you're unsure whether your identification is acceptable, please contact us before your appointment.
What happens if my document is incomplete?
California notaries cannot notarize incomplete documents. Please complete all blank spaces that are intended to be completed before your appointment, except for signatures that must be signed in the notary's presence.
Can you notarize documents after normal business hours?
Yes. Evening, weekend, and rush appointments may be available based on scheduling. Additional fees may apply.
